At The Five Bells our Head Chef and owner Andy Wiles has been in the business for the last 25 years working at the local pubs and then moving on to Glyndebourne Opera House and the East Sussex National where he was the Head Chef. He has decided that the time is now right to start up his own business at The Five Bells where his passion for quality home cooked food has been his driving force behind these new menus.

His split of experience has led him to create our exciting new menu comprising of pub farye classics but with the addition of modern twists. He also combines his experience from Glyndebourne and the East Sussex National to create contemporary and gastronomic dishes for those wanting a fine dining experience.

As much as possible our food is sourced locally and Andy is very much a fan of seasonal products, including the use of ingredients on our own doorstep including Chailey lamb and venison. Andy and his brigade work tirelessly to ensure that all of our products are homemade and cooked to perfection.
